Senator pleads guilty after bathroom incident

Oh Idaho, how do I continue to defend you against Oregonian nay-sayers when your senators do things like this?

CNN Reports:
"Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho plead guilty to disorderly conduct after being apprehended June 11 by a plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of lewd behavior in an airport men's room. According to the arrest report, Craig lingered outside an airport restroom stall where a plainclothes police officer was sitting, then entered the stall next door and blocked the door with his luggage. Craig tapped his right foot, which the officer said he recognized "as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. The report alleges Craig then touched the officer's foot with his foot and the senator "proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times.
At that point, the officer said he put his police identification down by the floor so Craig could see it and informed the senator that he was under arrest, before any sexual contact took place.
Idaho's senior senator is married with three grown children and nine grandchildren. In 1982, Craig denied rumors that he was under investigation as part of a federal probe into allegations that lawmakers on Capitol Hill had sexual relationships with congressional pages, saying the "false allegations" made him "mad as hell."
He has supported a federal constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, telling his colleagues that it was "important for us to stand up now and protect traditional marriage, which is under attack by a few unelected judges and litigious activists."
Craig has also opposed expanding the federal hate crimes law to cover offenses motivated by anti-gay bias and, in 1996, voted against a bill that would have outlawed employment discrimination based on sexual orientation, which failed by a single vote in the Senate."

Way to go Larry. Representin'. Way to go.

Post-Botox Day 4

I'm trying hard to frown here! It's been 4 days since botox night and I'm just starting to notice a difference. It takes about 5-7 days to see full results and can last up to 6 mos! Aj is confused because now he can't tell when I'm mad at him!

Hiking in Portland

We ventured a few miles to the south to hike the Silver Falls trail! Our first clue that this wasn't going to be like the hikes we were used to was the 80 year olds in the parking lot. The second was the multiple smokers on the trail, not to mention people wearing flip-flops and pushing baby strollers! Needless to say, we jogged the 9 mile trail in order to get a work-out. The views from the waterfalls were nice, though!

Botox night!

The residents arranged a botox night for friends and family to come in and be guinea pigs! In return they got free botox! My Mom flew in from Boise to partake in the shopping and the botox! A few of the residents may or may not have also gone under the needle! Can you tell we're related?

Anniversary

Since we are still living in different cities, we had to meet halfway to celebrate our 1st anniversary! We celebrated in style at the Rugged Country Lodge in Pendleton, OR (home of the Pendleton Round-Up)! Doc was pretty excited to see me as we've been apart for almost a month! The next evening we headed up into the hills for a night of camping, we got a spot on the lake and surrounded by huckleberry bushes! They sure were tasty in our pancakes the next morning - yum! Doc really wanted some.
